As part of the on-going WCO Capacity Building project for the ESA region, financed by DFID and supported by the South African Revenue Service, an Integrity Development National Workshop for the Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) was coordinated by the WCO from 02-06 September 2013 in Blantyre, Malawi.
Two experts from the South African Revenue Service (SARS) facilitated the workshop. It enabled 27 participants from middle-management level to assess MRA’s integrity status and develop a draft Integrity Development Action Plan. The Action Plan when pursued should contribute to the overall professionalism, efficiency, integrity and reputation of the Malawi Revenue Service. The draft is currently being further considered by the MRA’s higher Management.
